EDITOR'S NOTE
Markets are basically taking this one in stride...the major averages turned slightly positive after the Fed's third rate cut of the year and are actually moving higher during Fed Chair Jay Powell's press conference now.
In other news...I'll be out for a little while on maternity leave (yay!) after this Friday.
You'll keep getting this newsletter, but only once a week (sniffle) during that time. And not from me...although I may not be able to resist a dispatch or two while I'm away :-)
You will be hearing from my executive producer, Sandy Cannold (whose missive on housing from this summer remains the most-responded-to note thus far); my senior producer, Maria Boden (whom I've asked to give the "view from the inside" and a little taste of what it's really like to put the show together); Bill Griffeth, my original (U.S.) partner-in-crime, and a few other CNBC special guests*.
I'm sad to say goodbye for a bit, but you'll be in very good hands.
See you at 1 p.m. for a couple more days!
Kelly
*If there's anyone else in particular you'd like to hear from, let me know! And I'll do my best...
