The House of Representatives this week voted unanimously to declassify any information on possible links between a lab in Wuhan, China and the Covid-19 pandemic.
The bill now goes to President Biden, who will have to decide whether to sign or veto it. The push to provide more information to the public comes after the Energy Department reportedly concluded with "low confidence" that the virus accidentally escaped from a lab.
On abortion, Walgreens has been thrust into the nation's battle over access to mifepristone. California Gov. Gavin Newsom this week said the state government would stop doing business with Walgreens, after the drugstore chain said it won't dispense mifepristone in 21 states.
Walgreens said it's deeply disappointed in California's decision. The company said it will sell mifepristone where it's legally permissible to do so, but many states have bans or restrictions.
In Alzheimer's news, Eisai said the FDA has accepted its application for full approval of Leqembi and will make a decision in July. Eli Lilly's treatment solanezumab failed to slow the disease in people who had not yet shown symptoms.
