VIEW IN BROWSER | SUBSCRIBE TUE, JUN 16, 2020 CNBC POLITICS EDITOR'S NOTE Hello,   President Trump is slated to sign an executive order today aimed at urging reform among the nation's police.   It's the strongest action his administration has taken since the Memorial Day killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis spurred weeks of protests against police brutality and racial injustice. The order comes as Senate Republicans formulate their own reform plan, while congressional Democrats have already put forth their own package of proposals.    Here are some stories the CNBC Politics team has been following: Joe Biden is ahead in the polls, and his fundraising game has gotten bigger and better. Some wealthy donors remain on the sidelines, though, as they deal with coronavirus impacts on their businesses – or wait to see whom Biden picks as his running mate. Democrats want disclosures from big banks, Treasury Secretary Mnuchin and the Small Business Administration on loans made to small businesses under a coronavirus relief program. The Supreme Court delivered a monumental decision Monday when it ruled, 6-3, that businesses cannot fire people for being gay or transgender. Supreme Court decides not to hear big gun-rights cases, dealing blow to Second Amendment activists The Supreme Court said it will not hear appeals of a slew of cases involving gun laws, dealing a loss to Second Amendment activists who want to expand the rights of gun owners.
