After falling for a third-straight week, stocks look set for more volatility in the week ahead. There is a dearth of fresh data and earnings reports so the outlook for interest rates may be the biggest catalyst for markets.
Several global central banks are expected to raise interest rates, and there are more than a half dozen Federal Reserve speakers, including Fed Chairman Jerome Powell.
The S&P 500 fell 3.3% in the past week, and strategists say it appears oversold. But there is also some concern among technical strategists that there could be a retest of lows.
