Stocks could be put to the test again in the week ahead, normally the worst time of year for the market.
Strategists say the selling could continue until interest rates stabilize, as investors adjust to a more aggressive Federal Reserve. The Fed shook markets in the past week when it raised its forecast for much higher interest rates next year and forecast it would keep rates relatively high. Markets also fear the Fed could send the economy into a recession.
On the calendar in the coming week are numerous Fed speakers including Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. There is some data including the Fed's preferred inflation reading on Friday.
