Over the past year, Asian American women reported 2.3 times as many hate crimes as Asian American men, according to the nonprofit organization Stop AAPI Hate. With anti-Asian violence continuing to be on the rise, Asian American women say it's time for journalists, politicians and even family members to stop downplaying the attacks on their community.
