Our professional lives have officially gotten personal. If you have kids, the balancing act of working from home with children at home may have felt temporary just months ago. But now, there is a weighty feeling of permanency and an urgent need for solutions, fast. As the school year kicks off, employees with children and childcare issues are feeling the burn. So too are employers. Only 32% of companies returning to work have plans for employees' child-care needs. There is nothing inherently intuitive about restructuring offices to be Covid-friendly. The past few months have presented a unique opportunity for employers to uncover just how agile their workforce can be, adapting to new tech, communicating and leading, even amid times of uncertainty.
