1. Have your own set of accomplishments
These don't necessarily have to be monetary accomplishments. They could be "a career, a side hustle or a personal goal you've achieved," says Andersen. Basically, you want to prove to this person that your ambitions extend beyond, well, dating them.
2. Be prepared to sign an NDA
Andersen's high-profile clients require potential matches to sign a nondisclosure agreement before meeting. Nothing says romance like signing up to be sued if you divulge the weird stuff someone said at dinner.
3. You may need to be discreet
Many high-profile people value privacy, which means dating them could require some discretion on your part, says Andersen. That could mean letting your social media go dark or not posting about the lifestyle your partner's money affords you.
4. Have your own personal life
Rich people want healthy relationships, too, and that means that each person has their own social circles, relationships and support systems.
5. Be flexible
"Many wealthy people have complex lives — divorces, challenging financial situations, stressful business transactions, complicated relationships with their children, and a whole lot of drama," says Andersen. Be ready to endure some chaos.
6. Stay grounded
People know when you're just in it for the money, so try not to get swept up in private jet rides or celebrity encounters. Instead, keep the focus on the relationship.
"Not only does this make you more attractive to your partner, but it also keeps your mind clear and helps you decide whether or not the relationship is right for you," Andersen says.
7. Have a prenuptial agreement
When it comes to marrying rich, it doesn't get more classic than a prenup. But it's not just about protecting the richer half if you two split.
"Having a prenup can protect you if you decide to end things," says Andersen. "It can also help prevent divorce by enforcing mutual investment arrangements that strengthen and preserve your marriage."
