The big ETF conference is finally here. ETF Exchange starts Monday in Miami Beach and runs through Thursday. The organizers are expecting more than 2,000 attendees. I'll be there along with the rest of the ETF Edge team speaking to leaders in the ETF community.
Two highlights:
1) My discussion with Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Invest, at 4:55 PM on Tuesday at the conference, and a separate interview on CNBC at 4 PM.
2) An interview with Ric Edelman, former CEO of Edelman Financial Engines, on CNBC Pro at 3 PM Tuesday on how crypto works in a diverse portfolio. Edelman sold his business and now is advising advisors on how to incorporate crypto into their asset base. This is the hot topic at the conference!

Been waiting for this one. ProShares has filed for the first Supply Chain Logistics ETF (SUPL), giving investors end-to-end exposure to the companies moving global trade forward. Cryoport, Forward Air, Werner Enterprises, JD Logistics, etc.
The bitcoin community is noticing that Teucrium, known for sugar, corn, and soybean ETFs, filed for a Bitcoin Futures Fund. Not a surprise, but the Teucrium fund was filed under the Securities Act of 1933, rather than the Investment Company Act of 1940 like other applications for a bitcoin ETF. Is there a difference? Some think there is. I will ask Michael Sonnensheim why he thinks this might make a difference when we chat on Monday.
Speaking of a bitcoin ETF...looks like a "short bitcoin ETF" is coming from several providers. Direxion became the latest to file, while AXS and ProShares also have offerings on file.
