Thousands of refugees are fleeing Ukraine as western nations hit Russian banks and business leaders with sanctions. And President Biden unveiled his historic choice for the Supreme Court.   Here are some of the stories we're following at CNBC Politics: Putin attacks: Russian forces invaded Ukraine after months of building up a force of nearly 200,000 troops along the former Soviet nation's border. Ukrainian refugees are pouring west as the nation's fighters give the Kremlin's military a stronger fight than many had expected. In a particularly horrifying note, the Russians seized the Chornobyl (often known as its Russian moniker "Chernobyl") nuclear power plant, which was the home of an infamous Soviet-era meltdown disaster nearly four decades ago. Follow our live coverage here. Ketanji Brown Jackson makes history: Biden on Friday unveiled his nominee to take Justice Stephen Breyer's spot on the Supreme Court: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. If confirmed, she would be the first Black woman to serve on the nation's highest court. "Currently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, she is one of our nation's brightest legal minds and will be an exceptional Justice," Biden said in a tweet.
