The measure also includes direct cash payments to American families. The bill does have some strings attached for companies that would take bailout money, including caps on executive pay and provisions for the government to take equity stakes in eligible firms. The Trump campaign and the RNC have shifted their fundraising strategy into the virtual realm as people avoid social contact and try to slow the spread of the virus. Two Republican senators are under fire for selling stock before the massive coronavirus selloff in markets. Meanwhile, President Trump's main arguments for his reelection are collapsing as the pandemic sickens hundreds more in the U.S. each day and cripples wide swaths of the economy. Ned Lamont announced on Thursday. Former UN ambassador Nikki Haley resigns from Boeing board, opposing government aid Former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley stepped down from Boeing's board, saying she opposed government aid for the company as it battles coronavirus. Trump campaign, RNC suspend in-person fundraising events as coronavirus spreads President Trump and the Republican National Committee are suspending all in-person fundraising events and focusing their efforts on reaching out to donors through their digital operation.
